Cornoctuan is a nature-inspired doom metal band based in Oulu, Finland. The journey of this five-membered group began in the spring of 2019. Since then, they have been creating music for their debut album that is currently in the works. Cornoctuan’s music combines a heavy and gloomy atmosphere with lingering melancholy while their female vocalist chants both clean and growling vocals.

Cornoctuan draws inspiration from their own mythos: The ancient entities that have arrived to this doomed world to witness the wrong done by mankind, to help nature survive amidst the destruction, and, in the end, to guide all to the lands of endless dream. The band’s music, lyrics, visuality, and even name are all based on this lore.
